Volunteer and Internship Opportunities

Volunteers

Volunteerism is a big part of the work of the Bosserman Center for Conflict Resolution (BCCR). The BCCR recruits volunteers all year round in order to provide mediation and other services to the community. Volunteers bring skills and diversity to the work of the center; and above it all, volunteers grasp new and amazing skills during their service. The BCCR offers a 50-hour long Basic Mediation Training (BMT) to volunteers free of charge. In return, the center requests that volunteers put in a minimum of 84 hours of service per year (7 hours per month). Duties include, but are not limited to, mediation, case management, mediation intakes, reporting, outreach, networking, fundraising and administrative tasks. Volunteers get to work in the Center’s Community Mediation, Prisoner Re-entry Mediation, School Attendance Mediation, Veterans’ Support Program, Academic and Research Program…

Interns

The Bosserman Center for Conflict Resolution (BCCR) provides interns with the opportunity to put into practice, newly acquired skills as well as learn new skills. Interns are accepted on a rolling basis. Duties include, but are not limited to, mediation, case management, mediation intakes, reporting, outreach, networking, fundraising and administrative tasks. Interns get to work in the Center’s Community Mediation, Prisoner Re-entry Mediation, School Attendance Mediation, Veterans’ Support Program, Academic and Research Program.
